Chapter 8

Late afternoon, while the city gates remained open, I was dragged out of my pen. Cotter stripped me, leaving me naked and barefooted. A thick leather collar was locked around my throat, my arms bound behind my back, and a hobble chain locked between my ankles. Only then did Samus come out and join us.

Three more men were dragged out on a coffle a few minutes later, led out by Jax. The three slavers were soon joined by ten heavily armed men. Our guards.

Samus gave me another cup of juice. First time I received two cups in one day. The slavers told me it was juice with something to keep me from getting pregnant. Another slave girl told me the truth early in my enslavement. It was an aphrodisiac and birth control potion mixed together. Something to make us hot, horny, and ready to fuck like rabbits. I found it worked really well on me. The second any man went into domination mode, I melted, submitted, and eagerly obeyed his every desire.

I immediately got all tingly inside and out, just like always. My naked nipples pebbled, and I felt my arousal leaking out of my sex. Not being immediately used would prove frustrating, but at least my plan was finally coming to fruition.

Samus attached a leash to my collar. “Shall we show all of your friends your fate, Ari?”

My joy at forcing his hand suddenly turned to a cold lump in my belly. It never occurred to me that they would parade me through the streets, displaying me as a slave. Showing everyone I knew that I’d descended to the lowest low. My face heated up, despite my best efforts to project indifference.

Samus pulled me in and claimed my lips in a lingering victory kiss. He left me gasping, head spinning, knees weak. I wanted him so badly it hurt. I needed him inside me. And then he yanked on my leash, forcing me to follow him out into the streets of Twin Forks.

It felt like my insides shriveled up. Men and women I’d known all my life stopped and gawked. Some were childhood friends, others army friends and comrades. Many did double-takes. All frowned and shook their heads. Not a single one questioned whether I deserved to be a slave.

I bowed my head and shuffled along behind Samus. The half-goblin slave master basked in his glory. He strutted up the street, leading me and the others toward the main gate. A gate guarded by soldiers, most of whom I’d known many years.

“Halt,” Sergeant Holkas shouted seconds after we passed through the gate. He marched up and looked me up and down, a scowl on his face. The middle-aged sergeant glared daggers at Samus. “How is it Ranger Ariana is your slave? She wasn’t convicted of any crime. Show me her papers.”

Samus handed Sergeant Holkas some papers. The soldier studied them a long moment. Then he turned to me.

“It says here that you voluntarily submitted to slavery. Is that true, Ariana?”

My eyes widened.
